story 3. why is it selfish of someone to pursue their dream? isn’t it even more selfish to involve another person besides yourself to fulfill your dream?

why is personal autonomy described as such a selfish thing

story 2 made my heart feel so full. a selfless nurse and her husband who understands her altruistic nature and wants her to prioritize herself

first story pmo because there was a lack of communication (because of pride, fear of being selfish, and insecurities) between the couple. it’s realistic

i don’t really understand the character relevance of ‘the autodidact’, especially the way he acts throughout this conversation. is he meant to depict the desires (regardless of how strange or inappropriate) that some people indulge in once they realize how much autonomy they have?

story 23 covers the dynamic between two siblings from early childhood (when they were always together, the younger relying on the older, despite childish fights) to adulthood (when they grow out of touch in the pursuit of different dreams).
how their childhood dynamic is defined by the adults around them and how that ultimately shapes them as they become the adults.
it reminded me of my older sister

story 13 hits close to home. it dissects how burden (in the form of expectations) is carried generationally in families. acknowledging that one can shape their own identity and pursue their dreams while cherishing and preserving traditions
