Still not sure how much I like it or the characters, but I really do want to know who the murder is, so that's an author's win.

I’m having a fantastic time reading this. Quite thrilling, and very reminiscent of the classic Holmes stories. The best part is how Latham is using the original Stroker material to brilliant effect. I hope it keeps up.

It's been a slow start, but things are picking up. The details are interesting, but I'm not especially enamored of any of the characters. Makes it a bit harder to be invested in the progression. Still, I smell a twist, so I'll stick it through.

Just read a short story were Gabriel heralded the end of the universe with "The Last Trump".

The writing is great! This is the most ridiculously structured magic I have ever heard of, though. "Have some magic! It is just depended on being completely perfect with an incredibly restrictive medium!" I feel like Rhithmatists would be the most neurotic bunch of people ever.

So far a couple tales I liked, but not as good as the Tales from Jabba's Palace. Less intrigue, more slice of life. Desperate criminal life in the midst of a galactic rebellion, but still.
