He told me he wanted to lend me a volume to read at home at night. I agreed and requested difficult books that I would not fully understand, for what was the use in wasting time with ones that were readily understood.

I have only 35 pages left. Hopefully I’ll finish it early next week. The world seems to be ganging up on me to make it difficult to get in some quality book time. Everyone have a good weekend!

Having reread Anne Carson’s translation of Sophokles’s masterpiece Antigonick, I searched my library and found her translation of Euripides’ Bakkhai and her An Orestia: including translations of Agamemnon by Aiskhylos; Electra by Sophokles; and, Orestes by Euripides. I should be well occupied for the next little while.
