So far so good, as expected I have to pause and look up a lot of terms/slang but much like Harriet I love learning new words so yay

So like I thought this was a different book, one that was a space sci-fi with a little romance subplot and hoo boy was I mistaken. TW: explicit robot sex? I shoulda known

Enjoying the writing immensely so far

OK so after that initial hiccup where I felt like I was being thrown into the deep end, very quickly became apparent it's just the authors method of storytelling and I was impatient lmaoo it's great so far

Girl I'm told this is a standalone and yet >20 pages in it feels like I'm already supposed to know the ML as the FL does - he's immediately all over her and touchy feely and I'm like wHO IS THIS MAN-

Right so I haven't put it down since that last check in, and I'm only doing so now to go to bed. Wtf

I'm struggling to remain interested in this book, and I find myself stumbling over phrases and anecdotes that appear to have no relation to what was being said. I'm stil holding strong though in hopes it picks up.
