I didn't know there would be some LGBTQ representation in this book.

I'm bored...

Ok. I think I figure out why I had difficulty with this book. I love the story and I have nothing against the writing.... but the pacing, with all those footnotes, is off. I always forget where I was at and when I care about something happening, there will be a 3 page footnote and when I go back to the story, I'm not as into it as I was before the footnote.

I just finish book two and it was ok. I feel like it suffer a lot of the middle book syndrome. Since the first one was so great I really think that the third book in the series will be awesome

I finish the first book of the trilogy. It had the troops of the chosen one. At least it is clear after a few pages. I like that we are not sure what Lyra is supposed to accomplish. At first, I thought that Lyra was too foolish which make me doubt I will like the story, but after a few chapter the story grew on me and I was cheering for her.
