I'm reading this so I'm better prepared to defend my position, but I also feel so sad that this is even a thing that needs defending. However, all the recent hubbub on the actions of the SBC is a painful reminder of just how far we have to go.

Amazing must read. Makes Acts and his epistles come alive.

I was looking for a short entry level book on biblical theology. While this book states it is an "introduction to biblical theology," it is not entry level. It's also not really an introduction into what biblical theology is, but rather it is a shorter theology on the themes of the last two chapters of the book of Revelation. It's good and I'm enjoying it and marking up my bible a lot but it's dense.

Excellent so far. Really clarifies what biblical "law" is as opposed to our judicial case law, and it's helping me see God's heart in his being among his people and having a covenant directly with them.

Paradigm altering.

What an amazing book. The most recent chapter traced the promise to Abraham that he would be a blessing to "all nations" throughout the whole Bible. What an exercise in faith! I could only get through a few pages a day because I was marking each passage in my bible and taking notes. Any book that strengthens your belief in the bible as God's word and gets you reading more is doing what it is supposed to do.

This is one of the deeper and more scholarly books I've ever read, but after the first two chapters it is eminently readable and so interesting and encouraging.

So far this is exactly what I was looking for. A relatable read that helps me think like an ancient Hebrew, nit a modern day lawyer.
