Did I accidentally choose a YA book? It must be. It's first person, simple. I'm learning more about snow boarding and competition than I ever wanted to know. I will finish!!

I somehow picked another slow paced, descriptive book! A historical mystery based on the real-life diaries of 18th-century Maine midwife Martha Ballard, who investigates a murder linked to an alleged rape, uncovering secrets in her community. Set in the late 1700's it is sometimes hard for me to believe that a woman in that time could speak to authorities/men the way it is written. It's rated highly, I'll keep on!

Erm. This book is making me feel icky 😳 You know sometimes you have to be in the mood for certain genres? I might put this one aside for a bit and come back to it. Also, what's with the denim? 🥴 I'll try again soon because I need to know. Lol

So far I'm loving it. The narrator sounds like a young Albert Brooks (who is hilarious and I love) So that's a plus. I love the character of Stratt, she has made me chuckle more than a few times. And it's just interesting and keeping my attention. We will see what happens next!
