On chapter 3 already. This is my first manga in a while but it’ll still be a quick read. I’m not super invested yet but I am definitely interested. Going in I didn’t know this was going to be an alien situation. I really like that the mc seems to be mute yet very spunky and moody. I wonder if the “god” she saw is also mute, given that he hasn’t said anything to her yet.

(Temporarily?) dropped. Just a general lack of investment around the part where Tom is looking for the spook to save him from the inquisitor’s execution

Dropped because I’m not enjoying the dynamic or the plot at all anymore. It just feels like hate smut for the sake of it. Nothing wrong with liking that, but I’m not interested enough in this relationship or either of these characters as individuals to even pretend to be invested in what feels like the very continuous smut happening here.

This book is surprisingly very freaky. Not enjoying the non-con element going on between Yulian and Vaughn. Honestly debating on dropping it.

This is way spicier than I thought it would be wtf. Honestly not super enjoying it so far because they haven’t had much development outside of lust yet

This is freaky but not in a physically descriptive way, in a mental way. If that makes sense

DNF: Started as audio to fall asleep too. It’s not that I didn’t like it, just that’s it’s too long. Might return to it someday. Don’t remember where I stopped though.

Haven’t touched this book in a couple of weeks, but it hooked me right back into it for a couple of chapters. Looking forward to the rest of it.

Why am I hooked? I really like William and Savannah’s dynamic and dialogue, even though there is a weird edge considering the power imbalance. Their relationship is getting super unprofessional, but it’s fiction so..

William just saved Savannah from weird author Tom. Normally this trope kind of irritates me, but for some reason it really works here.

The Thing About Jellyfish was my favorite book for a long time as I was growing up. I was attached to the story and jellyfish as an extension, so I thought this would be an interesting read.

The secondhand embarrassment is pretty strong in this first chapter. Honestly can’t wait for more.

The mystery of their breakup is unraveling. Harriet cheated on Wyn, or at least he thinks she did, and that’s why he ended it. But she claims otherwise.

Nehemia was innocent all along. Cain and Duke Perrington were the real villains, just two different types. I still don’t like Dorian.

Nox has fled the scene and so we are at the four way duel.

Duke Perrington and Cain are more threatening than I initially gave them credit for, maybe even directly related to whatever/whoever has been killing the other champions.

Also I love Nox and Pelor and I hope that nothing horrible happens to either of them. Unshockingly, I am not enjoying the romance between Celaena and Dorian.
