loved the introduction of Scott Hatteberg. Really like his character

Favorite part was when he purposely took a single instead of an easy double to have a conversation with his idol don mattingly at first in his debut at bat. All Don said was “You forget where first base is rookie?” kinda wholesome made me laugh

The way this book explains the stats and math is so easy to understand. Really liked the explanations on the reasons Jason Isringhausen and Johnny Damon were overvalued based on the flawed statistics.

I thought how the explanations on how AVM systems measured each play as a run value number was cool

Love how the book constantly switches between statisics explanations and the A’s story

Lotta good quotes, the draft was so hype

Started reading summer 2024. Kinda gave up due to its complexity. Still remember everything, gonna finish this

Love the movie, pretty good and easy read so far. Always been super passionate about sports stats.
