OH MY GOD THIS BOOK AND HAUNTING OF HILL HOWS TV SERIES WERE RELEASED IN THE SAME MONTH OF THE SAME YEAR.

So are the similarities between the tall, black-cloaked man with a top hat and a cane a coincidence? Was this man in Shirley Jackson’s book or one of the unfinished Dracula projects? Very curious indeed…

First off- HE’S HERE!!!! I’m listening to the audiobook now and why he kinda….

Second of all, the scene where Dracula follows Thornley through the streets greatly resembles Mike Flanagan’s adaptation of “The Haunting of Hill House,” when Luke is followed by the man/ghost wearing a top hat, a long cloak, and a cane. I love that. I need to look up which came out first.

Wow. Stephenie Meyer is really emphasizing how much Bella romantically loves Jacob. I feel like there’s very little of that in the movies. I’m learning things.

I also did not expect Bella to discover her feelings…I was truly convinced she only loved him like a friend/brother. I knew they were too couple-like with each other, but I thought it was bc she truly does love him but just as a friend.

I feel weird about the fact that the SA-esque kiss is what made her have this revelation.

It pisses me off a lot that Bella feels so much guilt for hurting Jacob, when he is the one who needs to MOVE ON and respect her choice. I know he’s young and immature and a hothead, but he needs to understand the words coming out of her mouth, because he’s not only hurting himself but Bella too!!!

How DARE Charlie react that way after finding out Jacob kissed his daughter without consent??? Why wasn’t Edward more pissed off??? Jacob, well I’m always pissed off at him.

I’m glad they changed the characters a bit for the movies, bc I would have despised almost everyone but Bella.

Based on the movies, I’ve always been Team Edward since he respects Bella’s choices much more, and he is more mature.

I was beginning to question this while reading Eclipse, BUT I just got to the scene where Jacob kisses Bella fore fully- and WTF?!!! In both book and movie, it was CLEARLY nonconsensual, but hearing Bella’s perspective & how she reacted to it makes it all the more disgusting. Ew ew ew.

Finally starting to pick up ‼️‼️‼️
