It’s a little too familiar (Empyrean) I have been able to overlook the similarities till now. What happens in this scene made me cringe a little. Otherwise I am really enjoying this series

Prose is a little too purple for me. The eye rolling I am doing is taking me out of the story but the plot itself is keeping me going. Just wish the writing style would get out of the way
