I had real problems with this book.
1. Teenage/child love connection but we’ll circle back to that
2. James and Tessa were on their honeymoon but in the last book they were deciding if they liked each other beyond being mates. Also, they flew across the ocean with all the drama happening?
3. Evangeline is James’ mother? When did we learn about her and how in the World! can Lexi introduce anyone?!? Pg 185

DNF 36%. I didn’t like the main characters friend. It distracted so heavily from the plot I couldn’t keep going.

3.5. It was light and entertaining.

The heroine is a wet noodle, a weeping flowing pot, a damsel in distress. She’s exhausting...

“Even though Emma did not love him, he could not reject her. She was like an abused pup for whom he felt solely responsible.” What a horrid way to describe a woman and your wife to-boot!

I give up! DNF. This book is boring and has too many points of view. It’s exhausting.

I really enjoyed the first two but this one is exhausting. She wants space to think through things and Weston pushes and pushes. That’s not okay even if it’s for the right reason. She is not a brick wall you constant have to smash. Sometimes people just need a minute at the gas station! Right?!?

3.5. It was a lot of science for me. Nothing bad but it was a distraction. Also the round and round of the heroine being cold, not being loveable etc etc was boring.

This was a very slow read for me. I enjoyed Claire the goat and the independence Freddie showed, but otherwise it was kinda boring.
