I always start writing with an cool idea for how it'll turn out but then everything completely changes because this character has to do this, and that character has to do that. Heaven forbid we go along with what I, the creator of these characters, intended.

But it's cool because usually the characters have better ideas than I do.

in case you can't tell, i've dropped this book. my brother may convince me to continue reading it later, but as of right now, i'm done with it.

I was wrong! In my review of Speaking from Among the Bones, I was worried about <spoiler> that Harriett might be dead. I ten read the description of this book, and decided that she wasn't dead. And yet, I read this book, and Harriett is dead! I am extremely disappointed, and really want to smack the person who made this description, for ruining my hopes and dreams. </spoiler>
