My friend, who is a huge romance reader, lost everything in a house fire a while ago, and I got her an e-reader and am in the process of adding a lot of her lost favourites to give her as a surprise.

She'd been gushing over this series for years, so I figured I'd give one a try and even though I'm reading these out of order I'm actually really enjoying them lmao

I last read this book like a decade ago and it surprises me how well I remember it. Not just the story, but often the exact lines. The story is just as captivating as back then!

Rereading the book my Grandma gave me when I turned 8. It's still good! The illustrations by Hans Bertle are so great and I love how there is a small one on every page.

Started live-reading this several days ago, reading the chapters on the date they happened in the book. This way will really put the timespan of the quest in perspective, so I'm really excited about this reread!

This book has completely lost me with its slow pacing. I really only read it when I'm waiting somewhere and didn't bring another book with me, and by the updates it's clear that's not happening often.
Things are seemingly picking up, but it's too late. Unless by some miracle it can draw me back in, I won't finish it before 2022 starts and I remove all unfinished books I wasn't reading recently to start out fresh.
