On Paradise Island, there’s a small isle called Reform Island; it’s designated for prisoners, as the name indicates.

Wonder Woman goes home to Paradise Island to perform Santa Claus for the Amazonian culture.

I couldn’t wait any longer; in actuality, I was ready to begin reading this series. Many of these characters I’ve already met in the 60s, but my first contact with the likes of Wolverine, Colossus, She-Hulk, Storm, Nightcrawler and Rogue. On the flip side—Galactus, Ultron, and Absorbing Man.

While there’s not much action and fist-fighting, the Silver Age Aquaman comics are a perfect introduction to the mythos of Arthur Curry for readers (like myself) who are unfamiliar with him and his stories. He can’t live outside water for very long and he’s known as the Marine Monarch.

A man falling to his death and head busted wide open with blood flowing out and Batman launches a swordsman who is accidentally impaled by the other swordsman. Wow! And this was marketed to kids in the 1940s. They would never do that now.

Glad to be back with Superman again.

Marvel Comics choreographed and executed a coordinated action to place the very best of Marvel’s superheroes and villains on Battleworld.

It only gets better from here.

Honestly, I’m really going to enjoy reading Silver Age Flash and Aquaman. I like the direction Julius Swartz went; revitalizing these characters and the CCA limitations have given me the opportunity to understand the basics of two superheroes I know very little about.

Starting over
