I haven’t been updating my pages well but I flew through a decent amount of this book on the way to Chat/TN (yes I took a trip to see Amanda!!!🩵)
Axel is getting proactive in trying to help Leah, even if she doesn’t want it, Leah is growing and rekindling her internal feelings. It’s not easy but progress is being made and tension is growing!!

I’ve started bookmarking each time we see a tinge of higher emotion from Leah and Axel. Interested to see how they approach Leah’s growing involvement in her own life & Axel’s contribution to it :)

Still loving the inside look into Ilya’s internal emotions. Getting to the hard section: deceased mama, deteriorating dad, stringent laws about sexuality… I’m interested to see the moment that they have a genuine convo & Shane can understand Ilya more :)

They exchanged phone numbers! It’s all coming together!!! I’ve loved being able to see a little more of Ilya’s struggle mentally regarding his involvement with Shane compared to his outside person. He’s just as nervous and cautious as Shane is but hides it really well behind a facade. Onward!!!

Had to read before watching the series!! I know it’s late but better late than never… and I can see how the book to screen adaptation went even though I know that it will be wonderful!

So far we’ve seen a glimpse of the future & Poppy in her current work. Interested to see the progression from present to that point in the story :)

FINALLY broke out of the 400’s MY GOODNESS!!!
Anyway, pirates headed to get Jewel #2 (in Tané’s ribcage until recently), Ead and Arteloth running with Aralaq (ichnuemon) with Jewel #1 in search of the Ascalon sword while running from the Priory Red Damsels in order to slay the nameless one. What’s happening with Sabran… time will tell :)

Ead is back at the priory preparing for a new adventure to solve the riddle & save world
Nicklaus is still with the “Golden empress” (pirate lady) figuring out same riddle (just pt 2)
Haven’t heard about Areloth yet…
Sabran’s alone, no baby, no ead, tbc…

Sabran lost her baby, her and Ead spent the night together, Combe sucks (as per usual), and now Ead is on the run back to the Esyr (b/c combes sucks).

I’m glad we’re finally actually getting to see a little bit of Arteloth recovering, some info about the priory, and more about Ead. I wonder if she’ll have to return to gain more energy/power?

Not sure who mugged Niclays on the beach but it has something to do with “The Fleet of the Tiger Eye” or whatever. Wonder who that is?
