Ok, the structure is making itself clear and I love it! We’re still in Turkey but I think we’re about to make our way to the Berlin of the Weimar Republic. I can’t wait!! Tell me Raif Efendi!

Wow I love it!! Baldwin has such a beautiful way of describing late night bar culture in Paris, perfect

still no war, all hope is lost

CHAPTER 50 STILL NO WAR!!! someone please give me like 363930 bottles of sake i can’t do this

still no war dammit !!!!

I’ve been recommended Erik Larson books before, so when I found this one in our neighborhood’s street library, I knew I had to snag it. It is phenomenal so far. Larson does such a good job of creating narrative in what could otherwise feel like a history textbook. It’s also so interesting to hear about the rise of the Nazi Party in 1933, a period less talked about.
