Have made it Genesis->Esther. Started Job today. Have never fully read through the Bible before, and this has been a great encouragement and eye opener for me. The Hand of God is Almighty and in every story

Incredible so far. Not at all a main point of the book, but I loved this line of his thinking: “Both Christians and Muslims believe there is truth: If truth doesn’t exist, then it would be true that truth doesn’t exist… so therefore truth exists”

Nabeel has spent chapters 1-20 explaining his life growing up as a Muslim. Then 21-25 so far is his introduction/rebuttals to Christianity. It’s fascinating!

Thoughts I’ve chewed on from this so far: 1. Attitudes in marriage (choosing cheerfulness over a sour attitude), 2. Selfishness (there is no room in marriage for selfishness), 3. Respecting your husband (Respect is as important to a man as love is to a woman)… still reading through the book, but really enjoying the challenges it poses. (And practical applications!)
