This book is so... sad and poetic.

Along the way in life, we really meet people who are like us and naturally gravitate toward them. We always find ourselves with our own people, with whom we have a common denominator. I realize how Evelyn has a mosaic of people around her, and so do I. I look at my friends at this age, and I think, yeah, that’s me. That's a piece of me.

Oh to be writing and be passionate about it. Is Monique, Evelyn's daughter? That's my first guess.
