There are so many good things about this book, the lore/world building is exciting. The characters, especially Seung, are sympathetic and easy to understand. So many small portion of the text is written beautifully.
But I believe the dialogue falls flat, it is hard to tell what time period it is (early 1900s?), the characters talk so modern(?). Seung and Eunji are from different classes yet it is impossible to tell
