Essential 40K reading. Finished book 1 and it’s as good as everyone says it is.

Love the book. Long, drags a slight tad, but reading the dynamics of the Imperium and Chaos immediately after the end of the Heresy is exactly what I think I have been looking for out of 40k books. The dynamics of astartes vs humanity running the imperium, on top of seeing chaos astartes and cultists running for their lives and being the victims of atrocities, it makes for a fascinating read.
