I still don’t know how I feel about this. I love the action and battle. I love the idea of the corrupt “government” and tyranny that’s going on. I don’t know how I feel about the romance part. Usually that’s one of my favorite parts about a book, but this feels forced. And it happened way too fast. Not that I necessarily need an “enemies to lovers” trope to enjoy a book. It just doesn’t make sense.

Just starting chapter 12, but it feels like I started in the middle of a series. I will say I like the premise and the idea for the plot so far, but there was so much information to start this book that made very little sense with no background information or backstory. Hoping that some things start making a little more sense as I continue.

“It’s as though you were born for this”…. I swear to everything… if I just figured out what I think I did?!?!?

This entire trilogy has shocked me. The obsession and connection I have with these characters is ridiculous. I cannot stop reading. (I need to see them end up together)
