There’s a reason Russia/Soviet Union is by far my best section in modern. I loved learning about the rise of Stalinism and I’m already loving how this book portrays it.

AHHHHH, Im so close to finishing I want to cry. So far I think this is my second favourite Hunger Games story, and I'm willing to let that change as Gigi and others have talked about an amazing ending which I think I am fast approaching. The only thing holding it back for me is Haymitch. I don't remember Katniss as a perspective, but Haymitch is pretty useless at times, and is lowkey outshone by everyone.

I’m very excited to see this is the movie. The games are going to be very exciting, at least from what I’ve read so far.

Firstly, I’m already devastated. Secondly, I was barely paying attention before reading and I guess I thought a lot of these known characters were in the games? Instead they’re mentors. Idk why that surprised me. I’m curious to find out what made Wires crazy as I don’t remember the movie explanation and she’s alright now. I’m super excited to see what the games are like though, and meet Snow properly.

Super cool start. I’ve realised I’m not a huge fan of seeing movie characters before reading the books, because I do enjoy imagining them myself first. Yet, i will continue to picture Glenn Close and Jesse Plemons, and that’s ok.

Holy shit, Titus is a red!!!?!. Cassius killed him for JULIEN. Sevro is absolutely the goat, I don’t think he’s a red, but I can seem him sticking around for a while.

Getting more hunger games vibes now they’re in the war games. I love the constant tension between Cassius and Darrow and brown is doing a great job of linking his this to a commentary of life, even if a little on the nose at times (Some line about presidents I think). My prediction is either Titus or Antonia’s group will become slaves.
