Finished book one. Loved it so far, some bizarre scenes but they are almost charming.

I wonder how much of this novel is Mieko's inner thoughts.

Midoriko is so relatable ugh.

Mieko has such a talent for immediately making you feel like you are in the novel, experiencing the book first hand. I am excited to see where this book goes.

Ruth has the curious ability to make these girls both achingly real and flawed, and likeable. I begin disliking them, but again and again I end up loving each and every one.

I wonder how Rita would describe me and how I think.

Despite initially finding it repetitive, it is actually quite astounding the amount of detail the author has managed to fit into so little pages. She has managed to convey quite convincingly the girls' personalities and peculiarities. I am excited for the rest of the book.
