rereading this absolutely peak series

introduction
1: idea that everyday people contribute greatly and are oftentimes more important than they appear to be (maybe)
2: experience from first voyage helped immensely. Jamestown and Plymouth close to failing
3+4: not yet shown
5: foreshadowing treatments and views of Native Americans as barbarous and dismissed them
6: Hopkins was key factor of survival of colony. helped understand reality of foundation of US

so i’ll be keeping down notes for myself after each chapter summarizing some of the central themes and questions that’ll be discussed in class and tested on. each of my notes are referring to the themes given to us and will be organized by their associated number on the given list. feel free to use my notes anyway you want or ignore them, up to you.

i think it’s the first time i analyzed a book (willingly) so much that i went and wrote down the nitty gritty about the morality of each character and their actions, foreshadow abt themes that keep reoccurring and set the stage for the actual main story, and how everything ties together so nicely <33
