Tohle už je vážně hodně hutné a silné…

České autory čtu spíše výjimečně, ale tahle kniha mě zatím přesvědčuje, že bych je měl možná číst častěji. Zatím je příběh čtivý a skvěle napsaný, i když nejde o odpočinkové téma – temnota, smutek a bezvýchodnost zatím stále sílí a čekám, kdy se narůstající napětí zastaví. Kniha mi něčím hodně připomíná Žítkovské bohyně Kateřiny Tučkové.

At first, I didn't want to write about my progress in reading it because I didn't like the second part. I wanted to keep following the plot and not suddenly jump back to the beginning. Now it all makes sense; I’m really into it, and I’m worried about how this will end.

It’s one of the strangest books I’ve ever read. I reluctantly admit that right now, deep down, the story is really getting to me…

I think I finally understand why everyone’s talking so much about this book… It’s brilliantly written, set in an intriguing world, and has a pretty interesting plot… I’m having a bit of a problem with the increasingly prominent romantic subplot… We’ll see—maybe everything will fall into place in the end…

I'm just getting started, but even the first few paragraphs are very compelling…

This is probably the first book by Terry Pratchett that doesn't feel like it's actually by him... Everything just feels different... darker...

Until recently, my favorite Pratchett book was Witches Abroad, but I think this one is quickly catching up.

This book was different from all the others in the series... While reading, I felt a lot of emotions and nostalgia. I was happy to see many of the characters again, and perhaps because I knew it was the last book, I somehow said goodbye to them internally... It was an honor to be part of this world through reading...

Neměl jsem žádná velká očekávání a kniha mě velmi mile překvapila. Okamžitě mě vtáhla do děje. Jediné, k čemu mám zatím výhrady, je strana 268… Autorce ale tuhle část odpustím s ohledem na zbytek textu, který je vážně dobrý…

It seems to me that there was more humor in other books, but here it diminished as the story progressed. I liked the book, but it won't be my favorite Pratchett book...

My favorite Discworld book is definitely Witches Abroad... I like Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg, and their humor and Lancre in general... But this story isn't about them, even though they do appear in it... Despite this, I have to say that I enjoy the book and there is something about it that I am not yet able to grasp and describe... something that somehow enriches me internally...

Okay, I admit, I didn't understand this book... so much potential, and in my opinion, it remained untapped...

This story makes sense and has a clear message. The prince's curse may not have been a punishment, but protection for everyone else... It's strangely disturbing, but at least it has something extra...

Okay, I didn't understand the second story at all... that was weird... I'm trying to figure out what the author meant, but honestly, I have no idea...

So far, I've read the introduction and the first story... the introduction is brilliant, but in my opinion, the first story lags a little behind. I think the potential of the original story is underutilized, but the story's underlying idea cannot be denied...

This was one of the best-written endings I have ever read.

The king is one of the biggest surprises in the whole book. I'm curious to see how things will turn out for him...

With the character of Anjelica, the plot of the book took on a completely different pace. Now the story is moving along quickly, and I am excited to see what happens next. Finally, I can say that the second book is catching up to the first in terms of quality.

So far, the plot seems a bit drawn out to me... maybe it's because it's been a long time since I read the first part... we'll see, maybe it will get better…

Although the book is intended more for women (and is dedicated to them), I must say that it is excellently written and I enjoy reading it even as a man.
