Hilarious! If you want a cultural read that is entertaining...this is it! Education plus humor about what Gogol thought of Russia.

But, there is hope cause one brief suspense mystery scene had me hooked...for a moment

A page-by-page tourist's guide to New Zealand, with a background romance story... Details of hair drying and key turning are driving me crazy. GET TO THE STORY! Agh

It slowed down (plot wise) by the middle...Hoping for a quick bounce back to interesting...some mundane problems are being thrown in. Agh

I don't read books about boob grabbing and this one did. :( Blah! Stopped reading.

The book crossed a moral line for me. I stopped reading. NOT a clean romance. :(

The only reason I am not skipping ahead at this point is because family members are going to read this book too. SPOLIER AHEAD!!!! - Why would you say "yes" to a proposal when someone you LOVED kissed you the day before??? BEFORE EVENING DISCUSSING WHAT THE KISS MEANT?!?!?! Sooooo frustrating...

(Whoever gave this book 5 stars is lying or is only focusing on the first chapter) Marcus is the only cool character in this book so far.

The beginning was strong and grabbed my attention right away...But the author tells the reads that Eleanor is "plain, handsome, stout? Tall, plain, plain," seriously like 5 times already. At this point, no matter if the man hero dude says she is beautiful, it has been ingrained she isn't. If I bought the book, I would take out the "plain looking" parts. Its ruining the book by interrupting the plot THAT many times

I have a feeling the author is going to add some twists to the story...Not as stable of a plot as her others. I am not buying the chemistry between characters...which is disappointing.

Um... I am still reading it despite my judgment... So far good twists in the plot have occurred, but its more like "oh, by the way so and so has really had feelings for this person all along...Surprise!" Basically the abrupt moments are good surprises, but make the story line less solid.

This author is VERY thorough in conversation dialog, which turns brief vocal exchanges into paragraphs. The book is not as fast paced as I usually prefer, but the story is keeping me interested. I would give the book four stars right now if the story was a little less repetitive...three stars right now.

So far I really like the flow of the book. The author keeps the story lively and interesting. There was a "sensitive issue" part about the hero's horrible family life that if mentioned again, I will stop reading the book (I am picky on some things). So far its okay.

I like the flow of the book so far. I think the conversations are a tad awkward at times, but I get the author's reasons (its a short book and info has to move fast between characters). Interesting so far.

Great beginning, but the author is going heavy on scenery details to the point of almost annoying, almost. Love the characters so far too and the plot is strong. Yay!

So far so good... engaging beginning / depressing, but engaging. I like the witty dialog so far.

Okay... so far I was very confused on Kate's feelings towards her late-husband...the author is doing a great job with the background story, but I find her portrayal of Kate as unsteady, some random outbursts to Mark has made me not like her very much and she seems to have low self esteem... I was hoping for a more in control character... We will see... Plus MOST of the book has included redecoration projects.

Okay...the people are from New Zealand...Didn't get that information clear until p. 80? That clears up A LOT of misconceptions...The story is picking up... three stars so far.

Still waiting for the story to pick up some speed. Not a fast read through... If I am able to put the book down, that says something. Looking at 2 stars right now... It feels like it was written in the 1990's and I do not agree with some situations that would NEVER fly in real life day care. Just my opinion.
