I'm really enjoying this so far. I'll grant it's a slow read, but the characterization is really enjoyable. I'm rooting for Dengar and his hope to settle down. I'm curious about Neelah and her past with Fett. Bossk is admittedly at risk of coming across as incompetent rather than ferocious and ruthless, but Zuckuss is such a dopey side kick that I'm here for it. I imagine him with a Minnesotan accent.

There are two impulses in response to the current day and age from the church. 1.) Everything is okay; nothing needs to change. 2.) Nothing is okay; everything needs to change. I see how the book has rejected #2. I'm waiting to see what it does with #1. And what it will suggest instead? So far I'd put it something like: growth of the Christian church isn't just a numbers game but also individual spiritual maturity.

The characters have really grown on me. Now I don't want the inevitable to happen to them, but I'm almost positive this story has to end with all of them dead. The mix of conflict, tension, and yet something of a budding friendship between I-5, Lorn, and Darsha is great. Lorn's anti-Jedi sentiment had been grating, but now I find myself with the same pity as Darsha.

Okay, things have not gone quite as I expected and I'm intrigued. Where I initially wrote off Lorn, now I'm kinda invested in him. I still think I know how this has to end, but I can't lie it gripped me. Now with Jinn and Kenobi involved, I'll be waiting to see if this pulls off maintaining continuity with grace or if it feels more like Choices of One.

So far pretty enjoyable. An easy read, but not the most compelling. I find the Maul & Nemoidian plotlines intriguing. I'm pretty well convinced Darsha is going to make it to Jedi Knight and succeed on her mission, only to die by Maul's hands later. Lorn's story for now is... Meh

By far Lost Legacy has been the quickest read. So far the characters aren't as enjoyable or interesting as the previous two, but the plot has moved quicker with more action. And it seems to be getting to the namesake of the novel faster.

Finished Solo's revenge. I found it a quicker read than at stars end but the conclusion was a little bit of a let down. Reading the old pulpy SWEU remains novel but not my cup of tea.
