it was nice until the death of patroclus, so why would you mess up the whole narrative of the book just to for some reason to include the storytelling by achilles? for the whole story it was briseis who told us how did female feel in all this “heroical” landscape — and it was nice like a shot of espresso and a new look on a good known story, but at the end of the book the author just screwed it
