The book picked up once bad things started happening and secrets were revealed. For the first half of the book, the characters were bland and I had no idea who was who. Introducing a ton of characters and switching to each of their view doesn’t help, but the writing also doesn’t distinguish each character… until they die for example.

You have to push through the beginning that seems like this is going to be a teenage love/angst story and then it turns into a respectable story.
