Bethany Borgschatz is starting Lessons in Chemistry
I’m almost 100 pages in and I think it might be a DNF for me. It’s choppy and I can’t say I love the characters. The constant misogyny is exhausting.

Experiencing trauma is not a time to religious recruit. It’s a time to sit in the ashes with others and be quiet.

What if instead of conversion we (church culture) need to foster more of on conversation. Instead of a one time “alter call” we could breathe and preach fostering a relationship with the Spirit within us that is driving us to be closer to the God of our creation. This takes time and patient discipleship as a religious experience over a one time evangelistic event.

And this, ladies and gentle moons is how my whole new Star Wars adventure began! Like an acid flashback, only intergalactic, in the moment, and essentially real!

Thoroughly enjoying this beautifully written and intelligent book. "People want black-and-white answers, but Scripture is a rainbow arch across a stormy sky."
