Sue is finished with The Woman in White
Sadly, despite this being the first physical book I won in a giveway on Goodreads ... I never actually received it. Nor have I been able to find it thru my library's network.

Not knowing any of the story, I will mark it read and give it 3 stars. Yes, I contacted Goodreads who felt this was not their problem.

I am divided about this book. I find Riley (present day chapters) to be unnecessary) and so about ¾ of the way thru story I stopped reading. Then I went back and read them.

You can even look up the chapter headers historical info...it is real!

The 4 women's stories are worth 5 stars. Riley's chapters are (a grace given 3 stars) ... But I am giving a full 5 stars.

Sarah Beth Durst is , IMHO, one of the best cozy fantasy writers out there.

This story has suspense, magic - obviously, growing to love and trust and enough characters to make for several favorites! And one who can be relied on to try and destroy the good in this tiny island community.

I have started the second book in the series, which is in the future of this book's timelime. I am absorbed totally!

Hands down a 5 star read!
The story pulls you in immediately and doesn't let go until the end.

Hello All,
I felt I should let authors that I have won books from that I review ACRs with up coming publishing dates, that those are the first read. These are followed by ARCs which arrived after their publishing dates, in this case it is 'The Complex' by Karan Mahajan

Once the current 5 ARCs are completed and reviewed, then I get to enjoy all the other books I have won. I look forward to those!

Interesting thus far.
Do teens like/enjoy brand placement in their books?

I'm in the last half now, life is busy and I don't want this story to end. I'm sure I know what I'll rate this book .📚

Wishing I had far more time, less stress and breaking heart ... I truly want to sit with this book and absorb it, do a spell or two, and feel wholeheartedly me again.

I am absolutely loving this book and feeling a little witchy myself 😉
I take it everywhere I go (mom's nursing home - she sleeps a lot, doctor's offices, the laundromat, anywhere there's a line) and I have stopped reading my other ARCs and my TBR pile (it's a big pile).

I can not recommend this book enough for those with relationship troubles and those who love witchy stories.

I'm taking a break from reading this book and focusing on another ARC due this month.

'The Women In White' would be far more enjoyable if the present day Riley chapters did not break up the flow of the story so much. There must be a better way to give a cliffhanger in the 1964 chapters or just use Betty's paranormal skills to solve the mystery of her cohorts.
