I’m starting to see the similarities with c&p by Dostoyevsky. The uni student who has a new theory, a bit crazy to explain, so they keep only to themselves. Then, when they try it out, after months of suffering thinking about it, they get horrified by their doing or creation. Remaining in bed for months with self eating guilt and some close friend trying to take care of them without knowing the illness real cause.
