The one chapter leads up to Senkovis death after living to about 180 and then the next chapter jumps to about 400 years later where the octopus have overcrowding issues and continue to expand making sure to leave the vessel of the virus that consumed baltiel

Another part from the parasite virus, I wonder if it’ll eventually get to the computer Kern and then mess things up. Even though Voyager seems in contact with Portia, Meshner ( I think) is basically being taken over through his mind. I just wonder if it’s the complex personalities of the computer wanting r be human or the virus

Portiids are searching an old ship with weird hybrids of technology present and they brought Artifabian with them and just had parts from his camera to help them proceed. Maybe not having the cameras anymore will be important later

Everyone except for maybe Senkovi was taken over and killed. Later Helena ( human) and Portia ( spider) awake in a jail cell like place with that octopus guy that they were with in space from before

Sounds like when Lortisse was attacked by the turtle, it was able to hide in his body for a time and now discovered that it’s in his brain and replacing the part of his brain that attaches the left and right side while still fully working. Been reading and getting details on the spider ship. They use ants instead of computers and they had a run in from what seems to be the octopus guys that were made from the human crew in the past

Started the new part of the book and this starts by re introducing and giving some recap on the Portiids (spiders). They are in a space ship aswell and Avrana Kern (Queen) from the last book, is mostly robotic and has developed technologies to attempt to talk to humans better. The whole story including where it’s it seems to take place thousands of years in the future

Pages 34-63: Disra Senkovi is left on the Aegean with limited power while dealing with his genetically enhanced octopuses messing things up and about à third ended up dead. Baltiel is the mission captain and is on the planet when his crews suits stop working and they have to work through their heavy suits having no power while realizing they were somehow attacked by something to do with the war back on earth

Pretty good, short intro to some characters and general situation about them arriving and waking up at the two planets and terraforming one and how people are just cranky
