had bought this physically months ago and thriftbooks just lost the order apparently so now we listening to it instead

not as bad as i thought it’d be but still should not have won a pulitzer lmao

nervous for this one. have heard some mixed things and any time a white boy gets to ask himself “why are different peoples different” it’s a cause for caution. he does a decent job heading off some concerns in the preface but since he’s not a historian by training i’m a bit concerned for since academics tend to be silo’d and the results of out of field research aren’t always great.
