I KNEW IT. the man who saved Elayne's life in the "assassination" attempt was apart of it. they said the pan seemed complicated. it was evil Aes Sadai plot, that's why. i knew it, everything felt off. damn, Elayne is in serious danger, cause there's a black sister in the palace too. and WHY doesn't she want bodyguards? wtf? girl you are heir apparent, danger comes with job.

one thing i really appreciate about these books: they have genuine cultural struggles, and problems i genuinely don't know how they'll solve. i usually can see a clear path but there are several problems i'm really stumped on. good writing.

almost finished. this book is one of my favorite of the series so far. so so excellent.

are the aes sadai...female jedi?? fascinating

i hate putting this book down, i wish i had time to just devour it! for some reason, seeing rand lose battle was incredibly satisfying. i've long felt he was making so many unwise choices, so "secure" in the fact he was the dragon reborn. it's not that easy bro. i'm very curious when he will learn the lessons he needs to.

Egwene's masterful maneuvering the Hall to declare war on Elaida, basically granting her state of emergency powers, thusly leaving her authority uncontested by the Hall according to Tower law, blew my freaking mind. i think might be my favorite moment in the book series? IT WAS SO GOOD
to go from being "the biddable child", basically a puppet, to being completely in control. the stuff of legends!!

i've so many thoughts. this book has been GRIPPING. each pov has me on the edge of my seat. for the first time, i'm REALLY curious how this series will end. if the power plays currently happening are this dramatic, holy crap what are the last books like??
each of our main characters have been slowly but surely positioned into places of power. how will they use it, will they ultimately be for or against Rand??

for once i was wrong. perrin's pov has a gripping plot line too!! morgaise has entered the chat

the first 142 pages were some the most exciting i've read in WoT...gripping! and they it switched to my least favorite pov, perrin. booooo

i think i'm finally getting this series.

everyone i finish a WoT book, i immediately have to jump into the next one. and so the cycle continues.

not to speak ill of the dead, but Robert Jordan has some balls to wait until there's less than 100 pages to finally have something major happen in a 900 page book.

page 831...and i have to read about a noble woman flirting with Perrin??? what about the dozens of plot lines already set in motion from page one? am i to read conclusion or given a hint of an answer to any those?? WHAT IS HAPPENING

currently, it him this is the best written book i've read so far. book four is still my favorite, but this take its place! i'm in the final stretch and i'm loving it!

it's almost a shame that it took until book SIX for things to get hopping but boy howdy they are hoppin' along! Egwene becoming Amyrlin has added a weight to the story it didn't have before. Egwene, Nyneave, and Elayne are no longer young girls. they've transitioned from main characters to major players.

Egwene to be the next Amyrlin seat...I CALLED IT. she was the "biddable child" Nyneave overheard about. once i thought about it from the Aes Sedai perspective, it became obvious she would the best choice. her proximity to Rand, still inexperienced enough to listen their guidance ect. she's perfectly positioned.

i did a re-read of what i'd already read, starting from page one. it filled in many gaps i'd missed since i started out reading with the audiobook.
a successful choice, it really helped me become even more immersed in my reading experience, catching many things i'd glossed over.
nyneave BLOODY HEALED THOSE WHO HAD BEEN CUT OFF FROM THE SOURCE. a top ten moment in WoT!!!

i've loved american revolution history since i was child. it's wonderful to get to back my roots and learn more. incredibly engaging so far!

already halfway through, i've no idea how that happened. this is the quickest i've ever read a WoT book, i don't know what to do with myself.

it seems like with every WOT book, the first 10-15 chapters are SLOG. and that's fine, i'm used to it. but i loving jumping right into action. it's great to be back on the WOT train!

i'm very happy with how this book is coming along. reading Moraine's beginnings is extremely interesting! wonderful to be back in this world.
