DNF: This book is a disaster. Maybe I'm being too tough on it but it was difficult to figure out what the hell was going on as too many things were happening at the same time. I've had to reread sentences over and over just to try and figure out what the author was trying to say. At which point I just skipped it and hoped I could figure it out later. I'll probably try to read it again later, but this was frustrating.

This is the first book that I have ever read that made me want to cry within the first 10 pages. I finished Part I in one day and needed to give myself a break. I wanted to read more but I was already going through a wide range of emotions. This book is very well written to where I can feel exactly what the family is feeling. Sadness, anger, love.

Can't say I like it so far. Usually when I reach around page 50 on any book it typically catches my attention and I want to read more. Only a couple of books I have read in my life didn't catch my attention at this point. I'll read some more of this book and see if that changes.
