this is incredibly confusing. the time jumps are just thrown in wherever, without any warning. the narrative doesn't change in tone between what happened then and what's happening now.

it took half of the book until I finally got some good Brad and Pressia. I'm afraid I won't see it ever again. while I'm glad they had this moment, this feels like a 'final' goodbye. I'm not ready.
