Adored the first book. Hoping the second is as good/lives up to the memory.

A bit too much in places, but I can’t explain why.

Interested to see how much I enjoy this after the first trilogy. Start is captivating enough.

A talking octopus. Now this will hopefully be good.

Stephen just died and it was devastating.

Stephen’s development is heartbreaking. It will be interesting to see where the characters go from here, as it feels like someone will be lost sometime soon. The mystery element is “quieter” but somehow more compelling this book. Like a subplot that’s always there.

Really enjoying the premise to start. The development of Stephen’s character is also quite powerful, even if it’s in a reserved way.

I am starting to think that Osman is one of my new favourite authors. While I did read 3 before 2, the character development, humour and intrigue are all magnificent.

Hopefully it’s not an issue skipping the first book (watched the movie), and reading the third before the second.

A bit longer to get into the plot than the first book. However, character development has been great and the story is now picking up. Enjoying it.
