Very good chapter this was, I like the direction this is headed.

March is about to have a hell of a ride trying to solve this. Gloves is definitely behind this and I’m excited to find out if March can figure it out or if he will be killed at the end of the week.

Excited to keep reading and see what happens next.

Also side point, poor Jost being taken away/ killed, puts a spanner in the works for March.

Have been slow reading this as have been just but am enjoying this.

I am interested to see his connection with the reporter now, i feel that March is maybe doubting his belief in the Party more now.

I am intrigued as to how he blags his way out of the Gestapo involvement, playing idiot potentially but I can see that being fruitful.

Excited to continue reading this now and seeing where this story ends.

I’m enjoying how this book has started so far.

There is definitely something else, more malicious at play here and I am excited to find out how March pursues this case now it has been taken over by the Gestapo.

Excited to keep going

Well that took a turn. I like the bluntness of the description of “Will”. It helps show just how routine and heartless his thought processing was. Also the intelligence of Grady to instantly analysis what has happened with Ben and air him out.

Excited to see what comes in the final part of the book. Will Ben come back and realise what has happened and try to fix it or will “Will” remain in the driving seat.

Ben must be possessed by Will as Ben would not run this risk for Lizzie to be injured further.

Will really has it out for Grady understandably, but it is very interesting it seems his inner monologue as last book we only learnt what we know about Will through the eyes of Ben.

Mercilessly killed Gold and is now toying with them in the Castle. Very interesting, maybe he is after Golds role, wants to prove himself.

Been a bit of time since I picked the book up.
Loved the mini chapter from Will’s perspective, interesting to see how this is potentially Ben’s way of dealing with the trauma of losing his brother.

Also, Iris is very annoying, understandably as a Psychopath she is self preserving, but she is not doing much at all to help. It is unfortunate that Dawson died, I thought he was an interesting person.

I didn’t think the gore would start that quick.

I like this so far, I am a fan on escape rooms so love this idea.

I wonder how lizzie and ben are going to become a part of the group and how the people watching will react to this.

Excited to see where this heads. If there will be gore in every room!!!

Interesting start to the book, I like how we are getting different chapters from the perspective of the different people we are following.

I like seeing it from Grady’s perspective and hearing his internal monologue, how he is pretending to be a normal person, faking his reactions and emotions. I hope we learn more about Aanay as well.

Can’t wait to see how Ben, Lizzie and Grady plan to take down Gold.

This last section was incredible.

That fight on top of the mountain, I could really see it all unfolding in my head. Then Carmen comes in and saves the day. She earned that one, maybe didn’t need to kill him but still, good for her.

I really can’t wait to read about how this progresses. Finally they have met Gold and he has revealed he was behind this.

I cannot wait to see how this ends.

This book is amazing.

I have loved every bit of it. Still find will a very interesting character, I can sense there is something off about him, his interest in the dark, twisted way this challenge is unfolding definitely raises and eyebrow.

For me I feel Ben is the voice of reason, I would not want to carry on in this challenge. I can’t wait to carry on reading and see where this ends up.

Wow this book is brilliant. I am struggling to put it down once I pick it up.

I love how Will is almost understanding on the actions of other teams, I’m interested to see what he does to win!! Especially seeing what he can get like in those flash backs, which I love.

Very excited to keep reading this and see where it goes.

That first geocache was intense. I love how it was written and seeing the groups thought process. This got dark quick.

Then to top it all off now the tooth has potentially been stolen!!!

I did not want to put this book down but am being responsible!

Great reading and I cannot wait to continue.

What an exciting start to the book.

I was a little confused trying to figure out the map and where they actually were on it when the stuff look place but I think I figured it out.

It got intense real quick and I loved it!!

Enjoyed this section of reading a lot, seeing Winston broken down and built back up again and seeing how he has battled both the party and his own inner thoughts.

I hope he is able to have his final free thought before he goes. He is able to trick them into thinking he is ‘cured’ even though it remains somewhat free in his mind. Even if it is unconscious.

Very interesting section with the prison and interrogation. Winston battling with what he is told versus what he believes/ remembers.

Enjoying the section the book after the difficult read of chapter 9 part 2. I have no clue whether Winston will be killed or let back into Oceania with a new identity, having been brainwashed into submission of the party.

Struggling with chapter nine of part 2. It’s information heavy which I understand is laying the land in terms of the geopolitics and how Winston is hopeless due to the overwhelming confusion that is war and control.

I appreciate that this an important section to understand where the world is at but this is the first time in the book I have had to put it down mid chapter due to the heavy reading required.

This next section I have read has been fantastic. The relationship between Winston and Julia is intense and intriguing due to its fleeting nature. The cynical, overthinking of Winston paired with the carefree nature of Julia is great.

How this book will end is still a mystery to be, but as long as they stay human in their hearts. That is a success.

I struggled at the start of this book, getting into the flow of reading something more intense.
BUT, the ending of the first part was fantastic, you can see that Winston is getting more confident in his thoughts, may be reckless, but more adventurous.
I am really excited to see where this book goes in this next part and I am looking forward to picking it back up and getting stuck into it.
