Book 3 done.

Three out of three stories so far are saddening.

Black Cobras was so sad and then abruptly reversed into a unifying rally cry for these voiceless women.

My Kindle ate my book. I was traveling and realised the book was no longer in my library. And I didn't want to buy it again. I've just managed to reload it. Hmph. Lost my place in it, too.

Hitting pause on this because while it's entirely different from Alix E. Harrow's The Everlasting, I'm not ready to dive into another time loop (what are the odds that both these books are available from the library at once) (and tbh I'm not really ready to let Una and Owen be overwritten just yet in my mind).

It was romance - sad, lonely, reminded me of that film where Kathy Bates' character wraps herself in cling film to get her husband's attention
Something that needs...- also terribly sad, but the protagonist finally finds herself out of Pip's shadow!

I'm having such a hard time with this. First I thought it's because I don't recall anything other than the broad strokes of what went down in The Space Between Worlds, and couldn't find a decent recap. Other reviewers here and on reddit assured me that the events and characters in the earlier book don't really impact this one, but I'm finding that to be untrue. Plus I just don't LIKE Scales!
