President Joe Biden has let down Vice President Harris so many times… and I’m barely skimming the surface. :(

As a MEDO in the army, this historical fiction novel hits HARD. Looking forward to discovering Frankie McGrath’s story and the other Nurses who served in Vietnam.

I’ve cried a few times reading this story. Mock brings light to growing up trans while being true to all her identities! The pasefika and kanaka maoli parts hit different!

In 2026, I read four books in two months! Happily on track with my goals! :-)))

Chapter 11 is where I wept. To be loved is to be seen. Nothing is more beautiful than that feeling.

I definitely cried a few times reading chapters 4-7. Davis’s life has been plagued with so many traumatic experiences. It made me reflect and wonder if I “reimagined” childhood events in order to move on from the hurt and the pain experienced.

Black History month with an icon and a legend! Btw, the first two chapters are quite graphic.

I’m on my return to being an avid reader again. In the age of TikTok, where brain rot seems inevitable— I find myself stumbling into books. There, I find the ultimate pleasure of reading not to just entertain but also to understand. I’m so excited to keep posting on here! Currently reading book 2/30 for my 2026 reading challenge. :-)

This is book is phenomenal! First person perspective of a perfectionist who was caught in an imperfect scenario! Love learning about Molly and the death of Charles Black!
