RICHARD WAS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PHONE WHAT. Also Anne asks Marco in confidence if she was the one that killed the baby or did something to her and Marco took her away, and Marco is appalled bc Anne says sometimes she can’t remember things she’s done and has slapped their baby. YOU SIR ARE APPALLED?! He is not one to judge he put his family into danger and distress for selfish reasons

ANNE RUN.This man put you &your daughter in danger there is so many twists and turns in the last 100 pages I read. The accomplice being dead?! And his name being fake? Anne finding his other phone behind the vent? Cynthia blackmailing Marco? Rasbach totally being onto Marco and Marco trying to use Bruce’s murder to point the kidnapping to Bruce’s case?! Girllllll it has been crazy

The title of this book makes me think that Cynthia and graham are more involved with the crime but they hardly get talked about. After a bit more investigation (the same mf questions and evidence they’ve been circling back to) the police still think the parents have an involvement. And what a BOMBSHELL at the end of these chapters- the green onesie being mailed back to them asking for $5M?! Whaaaa

Cynthia and graham are cucks?! Wtf. Well now we know that they were both very intentional about the cheating

Cynthia confessed to her and Marco flirting, touching and kissing when they were alone outside having a cigarette?! I can’t. Maybe that’s why HE is so guilty… but I can’t help but to think that Cynthia had gotten someone to sneak in their house and take the baby so that she can either weaken Anne and Marcos marriage/family and swoop in herself. Or maybe Marco wanted to ruin it himself.

I feel like we keep circling back to the same details and only slowly diving into the investigation finding new things every chapter. Let’s see if the babysitter has anything to say about it.

They’re still investigating and brought out the cadaver dogs to sniff out any evidence of the baby’s whereabouts. Marco is acting too suspicious. I think it’s interesting how we get to see the steps of an investigation

Im so excited to read this book.I was intrigued from the jump &its interesting how we dove right into the night of the kidnapping.Marco is very sus to me.But Cynthia being all flirty &being a complete btch abt having a childless dinner party for her husband?They were also talking alone together.My guess rn is that Cynthia hired someone to take the baby so that it wouldnt be in the way of her plans to be with Marco

This was a sweet ending,as Iprogressed thruthis book I thought that ri’s relationship wher mom would be the one that heals all,but itwasnt. she had a choice to be better for Ri,be present for her,&show their GMA that she has changed. Butthe reality is that althaddiction is a disease,it can also be a choice&she chose drinking&aman instead of herfamily.but Ri isn’t alone-she has great friends &a gma that loves her.

Ri also confessed to feeling lost &trying drugs& sneaking around, which I know was extremely difficult. But it was very needed. Her gma needed to face the reality of how her coldness &dismissiveness has affected Ri’s identity,her need to feel free to make her own choices, & how she views the relationship she has w not only her GMA, but her friends &community as well.Both of them needed to start over again.

she finally sat down w gma &all the truth came out its very emotional.they look at picstogether &She talks about the reason why she &her gpa were so strict-they had a dream &they wanted to be taken seriously &wanted better for their family,& when their daughter started getting addicted &eventually kicked out,they started being more controlling.they never talked abt why her mom wasnt around &whythey raised Ri this way

Her gma took her to see her mom after all that happened wJohn harassing her &them getting drunk.&the crazy thing is that her gma took her to see that she had left her all over again.She chose John&drinking over daughter.I was not expecting this ending(?)w her mom,iwas truly expecting for her mom to heal and build her relationship wRi & her gma.But I guess the ending showed some reality I haven’t considered much.

Also shoutout Britney and Nina!!! They saved Ri and honestly even though it was a risk getting gma mad it was needed and it worked out. Everyone needed to find the truth and apologize and face reality. I’m glad this was the start to many of these relationships healing ❤️‍🩹 they are great friends and I’m glad gma also apologized and appreciated the girls

i was really hooked during these 2 ch.John being a mfcreep toward Ri &being sup controlling shocked me abit but at the same time not surprised hes taking advantage of her mom &her addiction,so that she doesnt leave. The fact that it was her gma who went to go save her?!I was NOT expecting that.But I am glad thatshe wasn’t super harsh on her &that this traumaticsituation opened hereyes to what Ri has been through

grandma sitting her down?!Bye I was scared for her I thought she was going to tell her she knows abt Ri &her mom,or the coke thing but she ends up talking abt her &brit growing apart.also Brit accusing Ri of being too busy getting high..like girl.Anyway I thought her and Edgar’s interactions were so cute!!I actually like him &his mom is so welcoming.but I did think they were gonna kissor do more let’s not sayyy

It’s after the party &I’m glad that Ri is getting closer w her new friends.I like to read their interactions rather than when she’s w Britney But I will say-I don’t think Britney is necessarily a bad friendYes she’s passive aggressive &needs to be more considerate abt what she’s saying 2 Ri but the way she reacts abt Ri doing coke,IS VALID!!I think Ri was honestly trying to find another reason to drop her

I enjoyed this chap it was interesting to read how she was feeling &thinking through the whole party as she hangs out either friends,finds out about Carlos hooking up with other ppl,does coke w the yt girls,when she dances with her friends&then Brittany notices she’s more than drunk &she finally confronts her hypocrisies aswellas her passive aggressiveness &her being lowk racist.but I feel like there’s more to it

Edgar & Ri had a lil study sesh together.They seem to have a lot more chemistry with each other than with carlos.Why would Carlos cancel again? I feel like either he’s hiding something or just is afraid of committing to Ri. Idk.It reminds me of that one he-devil I used to date.Anyways I like Edgar and ri’s friendship,& if it turns into a relationship I think they’d have a good foundation & would make more sense

Ok so Carlos & Ri are seemingly having a fling. They know they like eachother & she seems to not mind losing her v to him,which I’ll say, if you’re sure abt it why not? As long as you’re safe & it’s all consensual. HOWEVER he does kinda give me sus vibes w his intentions.. we don’t know a lot abt him. I think she may end up trying things out w Edgar tho,he seems like a genuinely sweet dude,maybe a switch up

She joined a Spanish class and is trying to be upfront with her grandma about wanting to learn Spanish and her heritage but she is very adamant about the fact that Maria is American and looks white so she doesn’t need to anything else beyond that. I have a feeling she is behind the reason why Nina stopped talking to her. Maria is also starting to see through some of the cracks in Britney’s character

Interesting start, I’m starting to get to know her character. I’m intrigued. She hasn’t seen her mom since she was a baby, we don’t know why she’s not in her life. she says that she can’t speak Spanish or is not in touch with her roots bc her mother was very in touch w their heritage. but anyways her grandma doesn’t want her to have a relationship with her mom and doesn’t want her to be mex American

She broke up with him WHYYYY!? Like gir you literally love him and feel that and he shows you constantly that he cares for her and respects her independent individual self. I understand that she’s always struggled with that idea but she doesn’t trust him enough to believe that he is not like her family or her ex

Although the start of this chunk of chapters had to do with Vivian being uncertain about them working out, good things started happening— she ended up meeting his family and started to stand up for herself and I feel that she started appreciating mel and his approach to life. They are opening about their issues now and it’s nice to see them fall into eachothers way of being. Although Ido wish she trusted himmore
