I like when my tropey books are firmly tropey.

Skipping from book 1 to 3 because going from Fall to Winter makes more sense than having Spring in the middle.

First kiss at 76%! They took their sweet time.

DNF. By all metrics, I should be 100% into this book, but I can't make it past chapter 4 and that's with a lot of effort.

Let's go back to where it all started, then.

I don't know how much of this story is stuff Collins had come up with years prior or cleverly made up to fit into the spaces left by the original novels, but whatever the case may be, it is certainly building a fantastically tragic generational drama.

So much math. I take it all at face value, but wow, so much math! Which is cool. Science heroes FTW!

Enjoying the more in-depth story in the book vs the movie. Weaton-as-Wattney is actually a great fit, more than Damon in the movie.

It's a little weird to hear Wesley Crusher as the narrator, but then again, it also fits.

At the edge of the proverbial seat with this book!

I haven't been gripped by a book like this in years. It's so freaking good. 5 stars already.
