wanted to get this book since a guadagnino adaptation was announced (i think it’s dead now tho), this was on my christmas wishlist last year but randomly encountered it at a foyle’s so why not! the premise really reminds me of “FF” by troye sivan

athena has a much meatier role here compared to the film (and interacts with telemachus), the edition is lowk wrong bc this cover is UGLY and it’s not the same one as the one i’m reading so im rly confused but whatever

not as good as i’d anticipated, way too descriptive, but there’s still some wonderful moments

super conflicted on how i feel about this book, but i think i love it?

this is a book with a super expansive and descriptive ensemble cast, with each character written with considerable care and attention. unfortunately, the cast is far too big and detracts from the main characters (cleo & frank) and honestly i forgot half of the characters…also they’re all way too messy

had 3 hours to kill so sat myself down at ralph’s coffee w a iced matcha to read through this!! thoroughly enjoyed this much more than the previous chapters as the story starts progressing more, the references are sooo made for me, LOVED chapters 6 & 8

there are way too many antigone references for my liking.
