Just the epilogue left, and I’m sad it’s over this was a really good book. Ending was happy it’s Christmas again and there is hope

Part of Cristian’s letter was read on TV and Cici left him a note saying “A Revolution eats its heroes”

Cristian and Lili are together! He said I love you.
Cristian slept for a while.

So much has happened it feels like.
- Cristian was sent to a concentration camp
-Liliana and Cristian found each other in the camp
- they escaped with a group of kids
-Lili and the kids were left at a juvinile prison
- Cristian escapes van and looks and finds Luca who’s arm is gone
- Ceusecu has fled Romania and army is on citizens side, but secu is still fighting
it’s very exciting and scary!

Luca got shot and the Ceusecue is opening fire on the protesters

This is very inspirational and I get the cover photo now. Protesters filled the streets all types of people joining in the peaceful battle for freedom.

Chill my jaw has been dropping. The citizens are revolting against Ceauşescu in the square.

What was that!!!! I knew it, but I didn’t know she blackmailed him. I can’t believe it!!!

Get out of your comfort environment every now and then. Train at courts not as nice.

Before every part of practice walk through the drill you’re about to do slowly. You can see what you’re doing wrong and fix it.

Make yourself take risks especially during practice because it will show on the court. Shrinking objects to be smaller like the racket may help consistency.

Meditate every morning for 5 minutes. Visualize after. Meditation helps you to achieve a flow state while playing that will take away most overwhelming feelings.

Watch clips of the pros doing the move you want to get better at for 15 minutes everyday.

Make goals for the present not the future and write them down. Short term goals twice a day and long term goals once and put them somewhere you will see everyday. Start easy not with success but with the goal of improvement. Hit 200 shots not make 200 shots. Ex: “Today I focus on fixing my backhand”

Visualize victory consistently before every time you play. Making shots and playing well. Avoid words like Don’t because your subconscious mind does not comprehend them.

Luca and Cristian are reunited and the family is preparing to fight. “I don’t care if it’s three people or 3,000 our country is murdering its citizens. I exclaimed we can’t just stand here and do nothing”(Sepetys 196)

Ok the affair thing is gathering some more support I’m suspicious, but they could be planning to escape instead. Dan and Mrs.Van Dorn are leaving Romania. Will anything happen to Cristian if Dan tries sending mail?

Target BARBRA is the name in files for American women. Strange they gave her a name and not any of the other people. Also what is Lili going to do after hearing Cristian was not the one to report her?

Good not too much important stuff happened in the last chapters but Cristian is afraid that Romania is getting left behind in the fight for freedom across the globe.

Liliana knows that Cristian is an informer. Cristian visited the American library and found out info about Hungary being free. Baby spent all the Kents to fix the radio.
