currently reading east of eden while taking apart john steinbecks philosophy writing the book; he seems to be a genius … i’m so excited to write about this book and it has intrigued me like no other book has been able to since reading BNW!!!

i’m so excited to read this book oh my goodness!this is my first time taking a book apart by myself and writing my own type of essay for fun on a book so i’m very excited to compare the families and see what i get out of this book, as i can only take from this book as much as i can bring to it

Elizabeth finds a tenderness in herself that she’s never felt before; Tries to fix Theo’s hair like she’s done it before a million times to which she responds by gripping onto her boyfriends arm tighter (since she is not familiar with Elizabeth yet). In this moment tension is high since this is Elizabeth recognizing that she is infatuated with Theo.
