An okay start, it jumps almost straight in. A little lost at first but started to pick up what was happening in chapter 2. I want to know what… I guess trigger warns… will be present and in which way.

honestly the book was okay, i was only engaged in it after finishing part one. i think the book would’ve been good without the first part because all it did was drag on.

Started this book a little late into the evening, but the book jumps right in. I was confused why she was strangling Ben only to find out why a couple chapters in. It sound weird but i like that the author brought up the security guard lady saying something along the lines of “this will follow him forever” which sucks for women and rn it’s happening with the Cornell 7. Anyways it’s a little hard to follow

oh my goodness, respectfully… wth was wrong with her mother?! i never knew this happened why she was on the shows i grew up watching. what’s annoying is the things her mother said about her body and then this last chapter i read, chapter 59, where she is raped but not? like huhhhh? jennette i am so sorry you grew up this way but im glad it’s made you a strong amazing woman.

It’s decent, very much giving another hunger games. Mare is still annoying, but I mean so was Katniss in the hunger games. Also trying to remember everyone’s names is kind of hard but it might just be me. I want the book to end already because I’m already over it. Conflicted on whether or not i should read the rest of the series

Beginning was slow, lost me quite a bit around chapter 7 during the queenstrial. I still don’t know what happened that lead to her powers being shown. Also why Cal’s half brother and not him? Lowkey Mare is annoying and that there’s more to this book series.

Book seems predictable, and lot of filler scenarios. Not as 🌶️ as others made it seem.
