Very Mulan-esque but without the disneyfication

Even though this book lags at times, it is fast paced. The amount of character growth and plot advancements in the 105 pages I read today is crazy, almost like it’s a new book. I really like it. Only thing is sometimes the romance parts come at times I feel like are inappropriate or unnecessary

The lore of this book goes crazy. It’s almost getting out of hand tbh

A lot more tension in this book, not sure how I’m feeling about that. Still an amazing book but something’s shifted, idk how to explain it

I feel like Ithan’s plotline is so random but it’s kind of fun (it does always end badly tho). Avallen kinda reminds me of the prison island in ACOTAR, I wonder if those are related

Kinda sad that the crossover is already over, I was hoping it would go a little while longer. Loved Jesiba’s origin story, the added depth to the Hind, and im excited for the next part of the journey now that they all had a lot of individual character growth

I’m on page 204 and holy shit has she dropped so much new lore and plots, it’s a lot. It’s all very good, but it’s a lot

I like the realism in the book. It portrays real life struggles of motherhood and being a sex worker, all while keeping the fiction element (I kinda expect this book to have a happy ending). I’m not exactly enamored with the book but it’s also not the type of book I would choose normally

Margo is a very empowering character, she has a lot of intrinsic motivation. However, it still is a little slow/lagging for me

Off to a strong start. Without Spoilers, I love who Bryce is with on her journey. One compliments her personality perfectly while the other is more of her thoughts/a link. I also like that we’re getting more focus on the side characters skills and personalities

I feel like the book is very relationship/romance focused right now which isn’t a bad thing. I’m really enjoying it and I have a feeling some crazy shits about to happen

The moves Bryce is making in this book remind me of how Aelin moves in TOG series

One thing about Sarah J Maas is once she brings the word mate into play, you’re going to hear about it. Loving the book tho

I love that Crescent City books are fast paced with the lore. Shit just keeps on getting crazier and crazier

Ngl I was confused about the prologue initially but it’s starting to make sense now. Definitely not opening with the same swing we got in the first book but so much has already happened and I love that (not necessarily what happens, but the pacing)

Amazing fucking book. The depth of the characters, the action/fantasy plot laced with romance that dare I say is better than ACOTAR… call me McDonalds because I’m lovin it

Really like this book. It’s more modern than ACOTAR and TOG but I feel like the characters are a lot more real. Also, Bryce could have literally any guy in this book and I love how she just tells all of them to fuck off

Holy fuck what a way to start a book

One thing I really like is how the different POVs are written like their characters. Tova’s is very clear cut and formal-ish. Cameron’s is much chiller and youthful. I’m actually really enjoying this book. But for a “feel happy” book, it hasn’t been to happy, it’s been very emotional and somber to me

A lot more POV’s than I thought there would be but I’m really enjoying it. I know how I want it to end, but im wanting it to be pretty happy, so we shall see

Just started but I’m liking the dynamic. A very unemotional octopus with a very emotional human, like the vibes

Honestly the hardest part of this book is Mikey, but he is so much better as it goes on. My prediction for the ending: i don’t think the murderer is anyone at camp, lowkey I think it’s Sierra

Great supporting characters and I like that’s it’s a murder mystery with comedic relief. Mikey was definitely irritating to start the book, but once I got past that, I really liked it. Lots of pop culture and movie references as well

So upset for Elena, but wow. 2 crazy ass twists with the lock… didn’t see either of them coming. Also, did Mrs Maas hint to Feyre, Rhys, and ACOTAR?

I don’t even know what to say. Dorian is a bad ass who pulled off the impossible all alone. The thirteen deserved better. Aedion & Lysandra are finally fulfilling my wishes. There’s still 200 pages and I’ve already cried more times than I can count, lord help me throught the rest

Oh my fucking god this is amazing. So much has happened and there is still 400 pages… like how. The rawness and plot of Aedion & Lysandra rn has me going crazy (I can’t handle losing either of them). Lorcan + Elide :) Aelin & Chaols reunion was everything I needed

I cry so often during this book. It’s not necessarily sad crying, but there is so much going on and it has building up for so long, I can’t stop myself. I love every second of it tho
