Not really sure how I feel about this book. Purposely waited for the special edition to release & was so excited. But now that I’m deep into some chapters it feels lukewarm. I really hope it gets better.

As someone who has played the game Baulder’s Gate & had played with Astarion as the love interest. So far the book is just mid. Also, why the hell is there no actual chapter markers!? Like I did a quick flip through the book to see if I was tripping or not. There is infact zero pages that indicate what chapter you are on unless you count the stars in between paragraphs.

I’m still bored with this book. I get it’s suppose to be super angst but also like Hendrix really pisses me off. He is supposed to be hundred years old or something in elf years but he is literally written like a child in an adult body. Atleast Ferris is actually trying to do something.

Not gunna lie, it’s rare for me to dislike a fantasy book. But I am honestly so bored with this book so far. Maybe this author isn’t for me, it’s giving middle school Leigh Bardugo writing and Im so bored. Like yawning status. So unless this book gets good I will finish it but I won’t be reading anything else for this author.

Literally eating this book up. It’s so good, I really do love Raeve and Kaan.

I’m devouring this book just as I did the first book and I still oh so wish to end Imogen cuz I hate the character so much. Also I still really love Samkiel I just wish he could drop the nice guy facade and go help “his girl” even though he can’t.

Im literally struggling to read this book. Butter was good but this, idk what this is but Im not enjoying it one bit it’s so slow and not gunna lie, Im unsettled.

When I tell you this book is exceeding my expectations it truly is!

The writing is good, I'm just not target audience and debating on DNF-ing it because I'm nit enjoying it.

I like the FMC but reading part 3 made me wanna toss the book because I felt like it was filler but also not filler. Ikr filler in a book is crazy work just like tv. Like we totally side quested 🤣

Dolly is heckin delusional and I can't stand her. That is all.

Starting to think classic Russian authors are my type of authors. I feel like out of all my books I've been enjoying this classic is speaking to me to well. Leo's writing just flows so well & it's so satisfying to read this book. Jane Austen's male counterpart atleast it feels like that to me for this book specifically.

If Anastasia the cartoon movie from the 90s was a romantasy book. Boooooooy am I here for it. I am devouring this book.

This book has been exceeding my expectations so far, I'm so glad I decided to pick this book up on a whim.

Really trying to get through this book and I just don't like it. Between the characters and how dark for the time period this is. Not enjoying this one bit but don't want to DNF it. I tried reading this back in 2020 and I did DNF it.

Mrs. Bennett has made me mad in all the pages she is in when she is talking either to or about Elizabeth. Lady i want to slap sense into you.
